King’s Speech

“Daddy what is Hitler speaking?”

“I don’t know but it sounds splendid.”

Isn’t it ironical that the benevolent King George VI had to struggle to overcome his speech impediment as his people stuck placards of “God help the/ our King” all over the city whereas his contemporary, Hitler won over masses by the sheer brilliance of his oration.

Doesn’t this reflect on our shallow judgment of character?

  1. Pankaj says:

The gift of the gab always helps influence people. Isn’t that why sociopaths are so popular.

  2. True! But not really a true judgment of character; don’t you think?

  3. I’ve recently started a site, the information you offer on this site has helped me tremendously. Thank you for all of your time & work.
